November 2024's average High of -1.1°C ends up below our 10-year average of 1.1°C, and ranks as the 100th warmest on record. That's just ahead of 2022 & 2017, but below other recent Novembers.
The average Low of -7.5°C was basically right on the 10 year avearge.
High Temperatures The start of November 2024 was well above average, and the end was well below. We weren't close to any records, but we end up with 14 above average Highs, and 16 below average.
On average November has 18 above-freezing Highs. 2024 was a little low with 16, although that included a 15°C day (15.4°C on the 8th) which is pretty unusual in November. We also had 3 Highs below -15°C, which is the most since 2011.

In 2024 Blatchford got 28mm, the airport got 20mm, and Stony Plain got 19mm.
So it was pretty average, following a very dry October.

The airport's 352mm is the highest, followed by 345mm at Blatchford, with the rest below that.
For total precipitation for the year so far St. John's is well in the lead with over 1500mm - that's high, but not extreme. Vancouver's 1168mm is the most they've had since 1999. Toronto's 1,081mm is their wettest Jan-Nov on record, ahead of 1,025mm in 2013.

- Halifax got 52.8mm on the 23rd
- St. John's got 49.2mm on the 23rd, and 3 other 30mm+ days
- Vancouver got a lot of water (203mm, or about 1/2 of what Edmonton gets in a year), but the biggest single day was the 16th with 26mm.
Snow In November we average 20cm of snowfall, and 8 days with snow. 2024 was pretty average, with 24cm and 9 days.
At the end of November we average around 10cm snowdepth. Of the local stations Elk Island was the highest with 19cm, and the rest were from 11-15cm.
In 2024 our snowdepth didn't take off until November 20th, which is a few weeks later than a lot of years. But last winter, with the big 2023-2024 El Niño we didn't really see lasting snow until mid-January.
At the end of November the cities with snowfall so far are Calgary's 34cm, Edmonton's 24cm, Moncton's 15cm, and (checks notes) Vancouver's 4cm, and a few more below that.
(although cities like Winnipeg and the Saskatchewan cities don't measure snowfall anymore)
For snowdepth measurements a few more cities are on the board. Saskatoon got up to 38cm, Dawson City to 30cm, Calgary to 24cm, Edmonton to 13cm & Regina to 11cm, with a few others below 10cm.

For the Lows, about half of the time December will hit -25°C, but since 1990 there have been 6 Decembers which didn't hit -20°C (including 2019 & 2023).
